How to play

  1. Open hajdeluaj.com/bakllava on your phone, tap LUAJ (play), read the level goal and tap FILLO (start).
  2. Swipe a sweet onto its neighbour, or tap one and then the neighbour. The swap only counts when it lines up three or more of a kind in a row or column; otherwise the sweets slide back and you keep the move.
  3. Reach the level goal before you run out of moves.
  4. Moves you have left over turn into striped sweets that go off: ËMBËLSI! (sweetness!) and bonus points.

There are six sweets: bakllava, llokum, trileçe, kadaif, sheqerpare and fik (fig). The first levels use only five.

Tips

Frequently asked questions

Is Bakllava free?

Yes. It is free to play in your phone's browser, with no account and no download from the App Store or Google Play.

How many levels are there?

Endless. Levels are made from their number and slowly get harder. Every level is the same for everyone, so you can compare with friends.

Do I need to speak Albanian to play?

No. The text is in Albanian, but the game is a classic match-3: swap neighbouring sweets to line up three of a kind.

Does it work offline?

Yes. After you open it once with an internet connection, the game is saved on your phone and opens without a connection, especially once you add Hajde Luaj to your home screen.

How do I add it to my home screen?

Tap SHTO NË EKRAN in the game. This adds the Hajde Luaj app, with all the games inside. On iPhone, in Safari tap Share, choose Add to Home Screen, then Add.

What are the sweets?

Albanian favourites: bakllava (layered nut pastry in syrup), llokum (Turkish delight), trileçe (three-milk cake with caramel), kadaif (shredded pastry with pistachio), sheqerpare (syrup-soaked cookies) and fik (figs, often made into jam).
