Byreku i Nënës
Byreku i Nënës (mom's byrek) is a free Albanian game for your phone. Mom is making byrek and you help: stack the pastry sheets as straight as you can and see how many you get.
How to play
- Open hajdeluaj.com/byreku on your phone and tap LUAJ (play).
- A sheet of pastry slides left and right above the byrek. Tap anywhere on the screen when it is right on top.
- Whatever hangs over the edge is cut off and falls. The next sheet is only as wide as what is left.
- If a sheet misses the byrek completely, it falls on the floor and the round is over. The byrek goes in the oven and you get your verdict, for example: "Byreku yt doli me 23 petë" (your byrek came out with 23 sheets). Then challenge your friends.
Every round is a different byrek: with spinach, cheese, meat or pumpkin. The game is in Albanian, but you don't need to read it to play.

When a sheet lands exactly on top, nothing is cut. From the third perfect drop in a row, the byrek gets a little wider again.

Tips
- Watch the sheet's shadow on the byrek. When the shadow covers the whole byrek, tap.
- The sheet moves at a steady rhythm. Count along and tap at the same moment each time.
- A streak of perfect drops makes the byrek wider again. It is worth waiting one more pass.

Is Byreku i Nënës free?
Yes. It is free to play in your phone's browser, with no account and no download from the App Store or Google Play.
Do I need to speak Albanian to play?
No. The game's text and jokes are in Albanian, but playing only takes one tap: tap when the moving sheet is right above the byrek.
Does it work offline?
Yes. After you open it once with an internet connection, the game is saved on your phone and opens without a connection, especially once you add it to your home screen.
How do I add it to my home screen?
On Android, tap SHTO NË EKRAN in the game, then Install. On iPhone, in Safari tap Share, choose Add to Home Screen, then Add. The game shows the steps with a short animation.
